Samuel Etienne is a versatile broadcast journalist, event host and strategic communications professional who has worked as an on-air presenter, lead show editor, media trainer, producer and moderator. Etienne is equipped with over a decade of experience managing communications in media, military and business environments, he utilises this as a co-founder at HEH! Productions, where he helps corporate leaders and brands better articulate their messaging and share impactful stories to global broadcast standards.
Etienne has produced and reported on market-moving events within technology, finance, defence and politics for Bloomberg News, one of the world’s most trusted financial media brands. He has led coverage on an array of major global stories including BRICS & G-20 Leaders summits, the Ukraine, Gaza and Iran conflicts, multiple G-7 central bank decisions and elections. He also helped launch Bloomberg’s flagship Africa programme, serving as a regular producer and on-air contributor. Etienne thrives as an adept and engaging host for live events and has been a moderator and MC at multiple Bloomberg business summits, Cannes Lions, Founders Forum Global, Black Tech Fest, SXSW London and more.
A former British Army officer, he brings strategic planning and command presence to complex live broadcast environments. He holds BSc Physics and MA Broadcast Journalism degrees from Queen Mary, University of London and City, University of London respectively, as well as vocational leadership and operational planning training from the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst.
He is passionate about social mobility and about what organisations and governments are doing to create more equitable societies as well as the impact sport has on shaping culture. Absolutely mad about fitness and sports, he boxed and rowed competitively, played club and county-level rugby, ran his university athletics club and is still searching for fun ways to keep fit.
