Samuel Etienne is a versatile broadcast journalist, event host and strategic communications professional who has worked as an on-air presenter, lead show editor, producer and moderator. Etienne is equipped with over a decade of experience managing communications in media, military and business environments.
Etienne has produced and reported on the BRICS & G-20 Leaders summits, Ukraine, Gaza and Iran conflicts, G-7 central bank decisions and elections and other market-moving events within technology, finance and geopolitics for Bloomberg News, one of the world’s most trusted financial media brands. He also helped launch Bloomberg’s flagship Africa programme, serving as a regular producer and on-air contributor. Etienne thrives as an adept and engaging host for live events and has been a moderator and MC at multiple Bloomberg business summits, Cannes Lions, Founders Forum Global, Black Tech Fest, SXSW London and more.
A former British Army officer, he brings strategic discipline and command presence to complex live broadcast environments. He holds BSc Physics and MA Broadcast Journalism degrees from Queen Mary, University of London and City, University of London respectively, as well as vocational leadership and operational planning training from the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. Absolutely mad about sports, he enjoys boxing, athletics and searching for fun ways to keep fit.
